You are not alone:
One of my clients emailed me the other day to say that she was "done". Ready to quit her business.
It's been a tough few months for her, lots of crazy stuff happening, things completely out of her control. Many of these things have absolutely nothing to do with her business, but as you know, when you are an entrepreneur your life spills into your business and your business spills into your life, etc, etc.
Have you ever felt like this?
"I feel so under it that I am not sure I will ever be successful again. I feel frozen. Each time I'm ready to go, something really big has occurred that completely derails me...I don't know how to describe it...I do not believe in myself any more....I do not care on some level...I feel like I have a concrete block on me."
When we dug into what was holding her back from moving forward on the plan we had laid out, she said "I keep thinking nothing I say to anyone will be right since nothing I've done lately has been successful".
I told her that it's just fear and if you look it in the face, it's your subconscious trying to protect you from rejection. Which, if you really get down to it, isn't protecting you at all, because you're in a holding pattern. You're stuck.
Nothing is going to change until you push through the fear of failing and get some new clients. And the only way to get new clients is to contact them. Yes, some will say no, but some will say yes.
We spent some time in our session breaking things down and moving through her blocks, one step at a time. We made a plan for her to get some rest & rejuvenation and then exactly what to do the next day.
She told me she felt much better after the call, she took the rest of the day off. I received this email from her the next day.
"Some days a coach does something with a client that is life changing....you did that yesterday. I have myself back...I have made two effortless calls already...I feel no resistance and I am full of love and knowing how valuable what I give actually is. Thank you."
